Chapter 2 LIFESTYLE
        Obesity And The Dress Code

Trying to camouflage the un-camouflageable is extremely difficult, requiring great skill and a great tailor.
Slowly, all my old “skinny” clothes had to be replaced by FAR more expensive custom-tailored clothing.
Frankly, I never welcomed anyone with a camera.

Telling Dr. Selby’s message using my obesity as the example was tough to do. I neither felt I was obese nor
even overweight, in spite of the constant pain of Hemorrhoids, Heartburn and Depression THAT I THOUGHT
WERE NORMAL FOR EVERYBODY. Nor did I feel out of place in my clothing, albeit I was always uncomfortable.
I looked very similar to the guy above, but nobody ever told me I was obese or even overweight. My then
mother-in-law, a wonderful Ukrainian lady, and a FABULOUS cook, openly worked hard to fatten up the skinny
boy her daughter married. She, with my very willing help, succeeded beyond our wildest imagination.

I never went to a Doctor. I had no idea I was obese until my boys inadvertently let the fat-cat out of the bag.

As obesity crept up on me over a few years, I barely noticed that the “skinny” boy of a few years ago had
                                                 Disappeared In An Instant.
Most of these pages were tough to write. The desire to skip this page and a few others was tempting.
