Myths, Fallacies & Misconceptions
Ladies & Gentlemen, there’s a lot of misinformation out there that makes this already difficult subject even
more difficult . . . to downright confusing . . . leading to an over-abundance of obfuscating factors.
In writing this book, I came across numerous professional medical opinions that were contradictory.
What troubled me were the reports saying BMI over 25 is OK if you are fit – but BMI 25 leads to 30 then to 40.
So even your Doctor is going to have problems deciphering fact from fiction.
HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS:
The one thing (almost) all Doctors (seemed to) agree with is:
OVEREATING IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF OBESITY, PAIN & DEPRESSION
If you consume 500 more calories per day than you burn, you will gain 1 lb per week.
So before we turn one more page, let me be very clear on 3 things:
1. All Dr. Selby said was Eat-Once-A-Day AT BEDTIME. He never told us WHAT to eat JUST WHEN TO EAT. You
will quickly find Natural Foods are more filling, less expensive & more satisfying so ditch the junk food first.
2. For the first few weeks, use the Feast Of Champions AS BACK-UP that we’ll give you later in the
book. Use it until you’re comfortable with Nature’s Healthy Way (One-Meal-A-Day AT BEDTIME) – that’s
“roughly” two weeks.
3. When you’re past the “Heebie-Jeebies” you can THEN START to:
a. Walk SLOWLY around the block (or the park – NOT THE GYM) 4 - 5 times a week – then soon: Daily.
b. THEN modify what you eat until you get more enjoyment out of less expensive healthier meals.
c. Read Page: 141 – RIGHT NOW – “Other One-Meal-A-Day Successes”.
