ARTICLE V.
MEETINGS
Section 1. Regular Meetings
A. Regular meetings of the Chapter shall be held once per month, September through
June, with the exception of December. Meeting days and time will be set and
disclosed to members prior to the start of the program year.
1. One third (1/3) of the active membership shall constitute a quorum.
B. National and Regional Meetings
Each chapter must be represented at the Mothers’ regional and teen conference or
pay to the Regional Treasurer the cost of the registration fee for a delegate to help
defray expenses of the region.
Section 2. Called Meetings
A. Meetings may be called at the discretion of the President. The
Vice-President and/or the Executive Committee may call a meeting when
the President is unavailable due to illness, travel or other unforeseen
circumstances and a meeting is necessary to conduct urgent chapter
business.

ARTICLE VI.
AMENDMENTS
Section 1. Amendments
A. The Bylaws may be amended at any regular meeting of the Chapter
provided that one third (1/3) of the active membership is present; and
provided that two thirds (2/3) majority vote is in favor of the amendment,
and that said proposed amendment has been submitted in writing and
circulated at least three weeks prior to the meeting.
ARTICLE VII.
FINANCES
Section 2. Dues
A. Annual dues are determined by the local chapter. It shall include the
national and regional per capita tax. Any taxation can become a part of the local
dues if the membership votes in favor of such action.B. The annual dues
which will include Chapter Dues and National & Regional Assessments are to be
received no later than June 30th.
B A per capita tax shall be levied on each member within the chapter to defray
expenses of the corporation for the current year. Each chapter in one lump sum
shall pay per capita taxes by certified check, cashier’s check, money order or
th
chapter check to the National Treasurer no later than Sept. 30 .
C. In cases where a member is deceased and the children are affiliated, per
capita tax must be paid by a guardian/sponsor.
