The sanctified site is surrounded by
three majestic hills with their own
significance. Within the sacred land,
there is a Thro Norbu (dharma
contained named Norbu), a cave,
from which holy water oozes
naturally coinciding with the day of
Lord Buddha’s Parinirvana. Against
the rocky cliff in the shape of a
garuda bird called Drak Khading, a
footprint, a hand print and a body
print of Guru Rinpoche, a body of Bja
Tshering (long life bird) are visible.
From the sacred Bagha (female
genital) of Khandro Dorji Phagmo
(Dakini Vajravārāhī), flows a holy spring revealed by a garuda bird.
The holy spring flows consistently throughout the year. Below this site can be seen the
footprint and holy revealed by a
tiger Pelden Duesoel Lhamo’s
(Mahakali) riding horse. Nearby,
there is the holy spring revealed by
the riding tigress of Guru Dorji
Drolo. These three holy springs
dripping from three locations are
like the medicine for resurrection.
Other sites nearby include Jetsun
Milarepa’s body print and self-
arisen word “HUNG”. In the
monastery, the main sacred objects
include a said to have spoken statue
of Guru Rinpoche and his manifestations, Dorji Phagmo, protector deity Gormo, an
Awalokiteshwara with thousand hands and eyes and Phurpai Lhatshog (Vajrakila).
The dilapidated monastery has been re-built by Busa Trulku Khentrul Rinpoche with
primary support of Taiwan Dorji Lingpa Buddhist Centre, under chairmanship of Mrs.
Sherry Lin and other overseas sponsors.
Ternye Gyephel Ling Monastery is the
planned Meditation Centre under the
foundation so that the monks from Busa
Wangdue Goenpa Buddhist College Shedra
can do the three years retreat and
meditations to further spread Dharma and
Dorji Lingpa practices, and help more
sentient beings.
