The  more  than  700  years  old  monastery,  before  registered  under  Dorji  Lingpa
               Foundation,  was  looked  after  by  the  descendent  family  of  the  legendary  Salay  Sam
                                                           Wangchuk Gyem of Saley who was born into
                                                           the  family  line  of  the  Great  Terchen  Dorje
                                                           Lingpa.  Saley  Sam  Wangchuk  Gyem  was  the
                                                           daughter  of  Terchen  Dorje  Lingpa  re-
                                                           incarnate  Trulku  Chokdon  Gonpo.  She  was
                                                           born in Sha Tsilo. Because of this great lineage
                                                           of Terchen Dorje Lingpa all daughters born in
                                                           the family are titled Sam and sons as Lam. This
                                                           practice was going on for many years.

                                                           The main statue at the monastery is a God of
                                                           Compassion  (Chenrizig). On the  right side  is
                                                           the  status  of  Guru  Rinpoche  and  the  left  is
               Terchen Dorje Lingpa. In another room on the right side is the Mahakala (Gonpo Mani
               Puti) monastery.

               The other sacred relics include a Trulku Gonpo’s fire proof scarf (Chokhor Mithup), crown
               worn by King of Zahor which was in possession of Terton Dorji Lingpa and given to Trulku
               Chokdon Gonpo, a fire proof thangka of gods/goddess that removes all obstacles of the
               path (Barche Lamsel) and a once spoken drum (Nga Sungjoen).

               The plan to start a Buddhist School with vocations skills at Sherling Dorling Monastery
               and  Institute  of  Indigenous  Studies,  Sha  Khotakha  undeway  at  the  project  inception
               phase.

               3.8 Bjena Tashi Tokha Ugyen Norbuling Monastery

                                                                    Bjena Tashi Tokha Ugyen Norbuling
                                                                    Monastery  is  a  privately  built
                                                                    monastery  by  Gupe  Gembo  and  am
                                                                    Dema.    The  monastery  has  Guru
                                                                    Orgyen Norlha (Wealth Guru) as the
                                                                    main  statue.  The  direction  to  build
                                                                    the monastery was provided by Dilgo
                                                                    Khyentse  Rinpoche  based  on  his
                                                                    vision  and  signs.  Dilgo  Khyentse
               Rinpoche was a Vajrayana master, scholar, poet, teacher, and a realized master. Thus, the
               monastery is significant for reduce obstacles, poverty reduction and to accumulate and
               bring wealth and good luck.    Royal Queen Mother Ashi Kesang Choden provided Gupe
               Gembo with the inside status relics which were put inside the Guru Norlha statue.

               The  monastery  location  is  also  highly  blessed  land  for  accumulation  of  wealth,  with
               peaceful and serene location, and with the main status of Guru Orgyen Norlha (Wealth
               Guru), Tashi Toka Monastery is a sacred and blessed monastery.
