My Dear Top Ladies, Top Teens and Lords of Area III:

I am pleased to extend greetings to each of you gathered at this historical
th
41 Anniversary Area III Leadership Conference in Schaumburg, IL – a
suburb of Chicago.

We gather at a robust time in our Area, our nation. our cities and the
world. More than ever, we realize how the importance of the vote, the
importance of vision and fortitude and most importantly, the importance
of the challenges we and our youth face daily. The events that have
occurred in these United States and the world on the political scene have
made us aware that we must be on the cutting edge of change and we
must see that our youth and we are prepared if we are to survive. Let us
keep those thoughts ever before us as we, together, deliberate here this
weekend.

My sincere best wishes to Lady Mary Leach Davis as she presides this
weekend. Congratulations to the members of the Evergreen Park
Chapter. Your diligence, expertise, organization and graciousness are
evident.

My thanks to each Lady, Lord and Teen gathered here at this one
moment in time. Your presence assures us that we are on the right path
and that we are “Investing in the Future through Leadership and Service”
for it is thus that we enhance our VALUES and more effectively “serve
youth and adults’ in this everchanging world.
