5. Braking clearance check IN
a. Measure the clearance between the brake shoe and
DI
brake drum with a plug gauge, which shall not exceed the
limit value.
Friction clearance: front, 0.5~0.75mm; EG
rear, 0.8~1.2mm.
Caution TR
In case of brake failure, vehicle deviation, etc., check
the wear of the brake friction disc through the AX
inspection hole in the hub; then, check the other parts.
6. Adjust the braking clearance FR
a. Jack up the wheel needing to be adjusted and place an
iron stool under it. ST
b. Tighten the adjustment bolt until the wheel cannot be
rotated manually, and then make three more turns (equal BR
to about the clearance between the brake shoe and brake
drum).

Caution
Clockwise adjust the bolt, and you can decrease the EL
clearance between the friction disc and brake drum.
Anticlockwise adjust the bolt, and you can increase
the clearance.
