BR-18 Brake system – service brake (air pressure)

d. Remove the main brake valve's fixing bolts
from within the cab.

e. Remove the main brake valve's outside fixing bolts and
the main brake valve assembly.

3. Check on main brake valve assembly

a. Connect the main brake valve's air inlet and outlet
pipes and turn on the air source switch.
b. Fill air into the main brake valve to allow it to be up to
1000kPa and check the air tightness of the main brake
valve. If the main brake valve leaks, change it.

c. Check whether the main brake valve leaks by smearing
soap water onto it or putting it into water.
d. Press the main brake valve's push rod, and there should
be air coming out of the No.22 outlet of the main brake
valve. Press the main brake valve to the bottom, and
there should be air coming out of the No.21 outlet. If the
air outlet sequence is contrary to the normal one or there
is no air coming out of either of them, change the main
brake valve.
