BR-42 Brake system – service brake (air pressure)

Check and repair
1. Removal of front brake air chamber

a. Remove the connector nut of the brake hose connected
to the front brake air chamber.

b. Remove the split pin fixing the push rod fork.
c. Remove the washer and push out the flat head pin.

d. Remove the fixing bolts connecting the front brake air
chamber and the brake air chamber support, and remove
the front brake air chamber.

2. Check on front brake air chamber

a. Place the front brake air chamber onto the test bench
and connect the air inlet pipe.
b. Turn on the air source switch and fill air into the front
brake air chamber to 600kPa.
c. It is possible to smear soap water onto the outside of
the front brake air chamber or put it into water.

d. Check whether the front brake air chamber leaks. If so,
change or repair it.
