BR-76 Brake system – service brake (air pressure)
4. Test
a. Place the exhaust brake's butter valve on the test
bench, connect the air inlet pipe, turn on the air source
switch, fill 600kPa compressed air into the exhaust brake
valve, and observe whether the control cylinder's push
rod extends forward and whether the butterfly valve is
closed. If not so, the control cylinder may be damaged. If
so, change it.
b. Put the exhaust brake's solenoid valve on the test
bench, connect the air inlet and outlet pipes, install the
positive and negative poles of the battery's lead, turn on
the air source switch, fill 600kPa or above compressed
air into the solenoid valve. Close the circuit, and the
solenoid valve should be opened and the air pressures of
the air inlet and outlet pipes should be the same as each
other. Open the circuit, and it should be closed and there
should be no air pressure in the air outlet pipe. If the
solenoid valve is damaged, change it.
① Connect the air inlet pipe.
② Connect the air outlet pipe.
5. Install the exhaust brake's solenoid valve.
a. Install the exhaust brake's solenoid valve assembly and
install and tighten the fixing bolts and nuts.
b. Install the inlet and outlet pipes of the exhaust brake's
solenoid valve.
c. Connect the connectors of the exhaust brake's solenoid
valve.
