5. Installation of hand brake valve assembly IN

a. Install the air inlet and outlet pipes of the hand valve

according to the mark and tighten their connector nuts.

b. Connect the hand brake valve's air bleed pipe.

c. Start the engine and repeatedly depress the accelerator AX
pedal until the reading on the air pressure gauge is up to
600kPa or above.

d. Push the hand valve to the service position and smear

soap water on the air inlet and outlet pips of the hand
ST
valve. Observe whether there is any bubble produced. If

so, change the pipe connector.

e. Install the hand valve's support onto the hand valve. BW
Install the hand valve support in place. Install its fixing
nuts and tighten them.

f. Install the hand brake valve's fixing bolts on its support

and tighten them.

6. Install the auxiliary instrument panel assembly (see Change, Auxiliary Instrument Panel, Instrument
Panel, Combination Instrument, and Ashtray, Chapter BW Vehicle Body).
7. Screw in the parking brake lock nut at the tail of the brake air chamber.

8. Inspect after installation
a. When the vehicle is with no load, the parking brake device shall ensure that the vehicle is still for at least five
minutes in any of the two directions on a 20° slope with the tire-road attachment coefficient being 0.7 or above.
