BR-100 Brake system – parking brake

Failure phenomenon list
Use the list below to help you find the reasons of failures. The number represents the order of failure reason
possibility Check each part according to the order. Replace the parts if necessary

Check on car

1. Check on working condition of parking brake system

a. When the brake is normal, drive the vehicle onto a slope being about 20°, depress the brake pedal, and pull
up the parking brake handle to park it on the slope.
b. Slowly raise the brake pedal, and the vehicle shall not slide down for at least five minutes. If the vehicle
slides down, it is indicated that the parking brake is faulty. In this case, repair it by referring to the following
relevant information.
