The compressed air enters from the air compressor into the air dryer to dry. The dry compressed air enters into
the four-circuit protection valve and the air cylinder. The air inlet ① of the hand valve is connected to the air
cylinder and its air outlet ② is connected to the relay valve:
When the hand valve is in the brake-disabled position, the compressed air enters via the relay valve (muffler)
assembly into the rear wheel parking brake air chamber to overcome the spring force so as to push back the
piston and push rod and disable the braking.
Cut off the air supply inlet when the parking brake valve is in the parking braking position. The air in the rear
axle parking brake air chamber is let out via the relay valve. The rear wheel parking brake air chamber's
spring forces the piston and push rod to extend, thus realizing the parking braking.
In some special cases where service braking is not effective, the hand valve can be used. The rear wheels can
be gradually braked to achieve deceleration and parking by putting the hand valve in the braking position or
some middle position.
