BR-102 Brake system – parking brake
Change
1. Park the vehicle on a steady road surface and triangular pieces of wood or wedges to fix the
rear wheels on both sides.
2. Release the pressure of braking system
3. Remove the auxiliary instrument panel assembly (see Chapter BW Vehicle Body, Instrument Panel,
Combination Instrument, Ashtra - Auxiliary Instrument Panel, Change).
4. Removal of hand brake valve
a. Remove the hand-controlled valve's fixing bolts.
b. Remove the hand brake valve's fixing nuts and its
support.
c. Make a mark where one of the circuits is connected to
the hand valve to prevent the air inlet and outlet pipes to
be installed to the wrong positions.
d. Remove the air pipe connector nuts of the air inlet and
outlet pipes connected to the hand valve and disconnect
the air inlet and outlet pipes.
e. Pull off the hand brake valve's air bleed pipe.

③ - Hand brake valve bleed pipe
f. Push the hand valve to the parking position, connect
the air pump to the hand valve's air inlet, and put the
hand valve into water. When the pressure of the air pump
is up to 600kPa or above, there should not be any bubble
produced at its air outlet.
Caution
If there are bubbles produced at the outlet of the hand
valve, change it.
