Windshield wipers

1. Remove the left wiper arm and blade assembly
EG a. Disconnect the washer tube and turn over the cover of
the wiper blade assembly nuts.

b. Remove the wiper arm fixing nuts.

c. Remove the left wiper arm and blade assembly.

Caution

Lift the left wiper arm and blade assembly from

the windshield before removing it.

EL 2. Remove the right wiper arm and blade assembly

Caution

Remove the right wiper arm and blade assembly in the same as removal of the left wiper arm and blade
assembly.

3. Check wiper arm and blade assembly if following failures are present. If yes, repair or replace
the wiper arm and blade assembly.

a. The linking shaft of the wiper arm is broken.
b. The wiper arm is deformed.
c. The wiper arm is rusty.

d. The wiper blade is broken.
e. The wiper blade is detached.

4. Installing the left wiper arm and blade assembly

a. Use a round file or the similar tool to clean the spline hole

in the left wiper arm and blade assembly.
b. Use a steel wire brush to clean the shaft spline of
the windshield wiper linkage mechanism assembly.
