EL - 48 Electrical system – electrical components

Windshield wiper motor
DI Change
1. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole
EG 2. Open the front flip-over cover assembly
3. Remove the windshield wiper motor
TR a. Disconnect the plug & socket connector of
the windshield wiper motor.

b. Disconnect the connection between the windshield wiper
electric motor assembly and the windshield wiper linkage

mechanism assembly.

c. Remove the fixing bolts from the windshield wiper motor.
d. Remove the windshield wipers electric motor assembly.
4. Check windshield wiper motor if following failures are present. If yes, repair or replace
the windshield wiper motor
a. Shortcircuit occurs inside the windshield wiper motor.
b. The electrical conductivity of the internal contact of the windshield wiper motor degrades.
c. Abnormal sound can be heard from inside of the windshield wiper motor.
