System description: IN

Diesel engine management system mainly consists of three parts, i.e., the input of signal sensor, electronic
control module and actuation control. DI

Signal input
Step on the clutch pedal. Once the clutch switch contacts close, the clutch switch signal will be provided from EG
pin 4 and output to the pin 18 of the engine electronic control system.

Step on brake pedal. Once the contacts of the brake lamp switch close, the brake lamp switch signal will be

provided from pin 1 and output to the pin 19 of the engine electronic control system.

Engine oil pressure switch

Start the engine. The engine oil pressure increases and the engine oil pressure switch is disconnected. The

engine ECU send signals via CAN wires to the combination instrument and the engine oil pressure warning

lamp on the combination instrument goes out.

Crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor work together to determine the positions of the
crankshaft and the camshaft to provide ignition timing. ST

Fuel pressure sensor
It provides engine ECU with the common rail internal pressure signal. BR

Injector, oil metering unit
They are used to control the oil mounts entering the cylinder and common rail individually.. BW

Electronic throttle pedal sensor
EL
The electronic throttle pedal sensor detects the position of the throttle pedal. When variation of the pedal
position is detected, the variation will be quantified instantaneously and sent to the engine electronic control
module. This module will calculate the such information and take it as one of fundamental signals for
adjusting the amount of fuel injection.

Mounting place: the throttle pedal.
