EG - 16 Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8)

Failure phenomenon Possible reason Failure elimination
Radiator cover not correct or failed or low
Check the radiator pressure cover
specification in standing pressure

Thermostat broken Replace the thermostat
Cooling system blocked or leaking Check the radiator hose
Check if the degassing pipe and filling pipe are
Filling pipe or degassing pipe blocked, choked or
correct
Pipeline arrangement not correct Arrangement and if it is blocked

Check the engine oil level. If necessary, fill in
Coolant temperature Engine oil higher than the requirement
or discharge the engine oil
too high
Cooling system contaminated by dirt, scale or grease Clean the cooling system
Refer to engine oil contamination failure
Engine oil contaminated by coolant or fuel

Coolant contaminated by engine oil Refer to engine oil mixed in coolant
Check the cylinder body pressure and replace
Water pump failure

Check the radiator. Clean or replace it if
