EG - 18                        Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8)


              Failure phenomenon          Possible reason                      Failure elimination

                                Fuel level low in the fuel tank   Filling oil tank

                                Fuel leaking                     Check if the fuel pipe, fuel joint and fuel filter leak

                                Fuel inlet resistance            Check the fuel inlet resistance

                                                                 Check  if  there  is  air  in  the  fuel  system.  Thoroughly
                                Air in fuel system
              Starting  fuel  pressure                           discharge the air in the fuel system
              too low
                                Fuel joint loose                 Tighten all the fuel pipe joints and connection
                                The fuel suction standpipe in the fuel tank
                                                                 Check and repair the standpipe
                                is disconnected

                                                                 Check the output pressure of high pressure oil pump and
                                High pressure oil pump failed
                                                                 replace it if necessary.

                                                                 Use a diagnostic tester to detect whether the reading of the
                                                                 opening percentage of the accelerator or joystick is correct
                                Accelerator  pedal  Accelerator  pedal  or
