EG - 84 Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8)

30. Install the gasket of the cylinder cover

31. Carefully place the cylinder cover on the cylinder
body and seat on the location pin
Caution

Cylinder head assembly weight up to 23kg above. To
prevent serious personal injury, an assistant is needed
or use a proper lifting equipment to lift the cylinder
head assembly

32. Lubricate the threads of the installation bolts of the
cylinder cover and the underneath of the bolt tip with
clean engine oil. Install the bolts and tighten them by
hand

33. Tighten the bolts of the cylinder cover in the order
shown
Tighten the bolts.
Torque:
Step 1: 70N•m
Step 2: release in 180 °
Step 3: 60N•m
Step 4: repeat 60N•m torque, rotate the bolt in 90 °
clockwise and then rotate it in 90 ° clockwise again
34. Install the injector
35. Install the tappet
36. Install the bridging pressing plate
37. Install the rocker arm
38. Install the intake manifold
39. Install the cover of the rocker arm room

40. Install the oil return pipe
