EG - 88 Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8)

8. Disassemble the piston rod assembly

a. Disassemble piston ring by piston ring expander.

b. Disassemble the snap ring on each side of the piston with
the inner snap ring pliers.

c. Disassemble the piston pin and connecting rod.

9. Check the piston rod assembly

a. Clean and inspect piston and piston pin.
