2. Check the intermediate shaft assembly

a. Use a dial indicator to check the radial runout of

intermediate shaft
Radial runout limit:

b. Check gear for excessive wear, broken teeth and other

phenomena and, if damaged, replace.

3. Assemble the intermediate shaft assembly

a. Install the spacer of 4the gear and install the 4th gear.

b. install the internal flat key of 6th gear, and use the

press to install the 6th gear.

Caution

Follow the markings for installation.

c. install the internal flat key of 5th gear, and use the
press to install the 5th gear.
