Rear axle housing assembly IN

Check and repair
1. Remove the rear axle housing assembly DI

a. Use the jack to lift up the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheel assembly. (See Chapter FR Frame,
Suspension and Wheels - Wheels and Tires - Rear Wheels and Tires, Replacement) EG
b. Drain the rear axle gear oil. (See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Axle - Rear
Axle - Gear Oil, Replacement) TR

c. Disconnect transmission shaft assembly from rear axle.

d. Disconnect the harness connector of rear wheel speed

sensor and cut off the harness fixing strap.

e. Turn parking brake lock lever to the longest position.

f. Remove the collar nut of the brake hose connecting to

the left and the right rear brake chamber.

g. Use the horizontal jack to support the rear axle
assembly, place two brackets or the safety stool in the
proper position on the frame, and slowly lower the jack

to put the weight on the safety stool or bracket.

h. Remove the u-bolt fixing nut of rear plate spring, and

remove the u-bolt of rear plate spring.

i. Lower the horizontal jack and remove the rear axle

assembly.
