AX-50 Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle

j. Disassemble the rear axle shaft. (See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Shaft - Rear
Axle - Rear Axle Shaft , Service)
k. Disassemble the differential. (See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Shaft - Rear
Axle - Rear Axle Final Reducer Assembly, Replacement)
l. Remove the rear axle hub. (See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Shaft - Rear Axle
- Rear Axle Hub, Service)
m. Remove the rear brake chamber. (See chapter BR "Brake system - Service Brake (air pressure) - Rear
brake chamber, Maintenance")
n. Remove the rear brake. (See chapter BR "Brake system - Service Brake (air pressure) - Rear brake, Maintenance")
o. Take off the rear axle housing assembly.
2. Install the rear axle housing assembly

a. Install the rear brake.(See chapter BR "Brake system - Service Brake (air pressure) - Rear brake shoe, Maintenance")
b. Install the rear brake chamber(See chapter BR "Brake system - Service Brake (air pressure) - Rear brake
chamber, Maintenance")
c. Install the rear axle hub. (See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Shaft - Rear Axle -
Rear Axle Hub, Service)
d. Install the differential.(See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Shaft - Rear Axle -
Rear Axle Final Reducer Assembly, Replacement)
e. Install the rear axle shaft(See Chapter AX Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle / Rear Shaft - Rear Axle -
Rear Axle Shaft , Service)

f. Use a horizontal jack to install the rear axle assembly.
g. Move the rear axle assembly to the mounting position,
push up the rear axle assembly, install the u-bolts of plate
spring, install the fixing nuts and fasten evenly.
Torque:400~450N•m

h. Connect the brake hoses of the left and the right brake
chamber and tighten the collar nuts.

i. Connect the connectors of the left and the right
rear wheel speed sensors.
