62-142 DIAGNOSIS-POWER DOOR LOCK

(b). Measure the resistance between the No.1
pin of the connector M03 on the tailgate
lock motor and grounding with the
multimeter.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is a short circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
M03 (1) - grounding > 1MΩ
Is the result normal?
Yes>To step4.
No >Maintain the short circuit to ground of the tailgate lock motor.

4. Check the short circuit to ground of the tailgate lock position switch

(a). Disconnect the connector M02 of the tailgate lock position switch.

(b). Measure the resistance between the No.1
pin of the connector M02 on the tailgate
lock position switch and grounding with the
multimeter.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect by Standard
Conditions
multimeter value
Tailgate switch M02 (1) -
≤ 2 Ω
ON/OFF Grounding
Tailgate switch M02 (1) - Infinite
ON Grounding
Is the result normal?
Yes>Find the causes from other symptoms.
No >Maintain the short circuit to ground of the tailgate lock position switch.
