62-24 DIAGNOSIS-SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 4.
No >Repair or replace harness.

4. Check driver side impact sensor short circuit to ground

(a). Disconnect driver side impact sensor connector D61.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between No. 1 and No. 2 terminal of driver
side impact sensor connector D61 and the
grounding, respectively.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
D61(1) -Grounding ≥ 1MΩ

D61(2) -Grounding ≥ 1MΩ

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 5.
No >Repair or replace harness.

5. Check driver side impact sensor short circuit to the power supply

(a). Disconnect driver side impact sensor connector D61.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between No. 1 and No. 2 terminal of
driverside impact sensor connector
D61 and IG2(6) of ignition switch C13,
respectively.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter

D61(1) - C13(6) ≥ 1MΩ
D61(2) - C13(6) ≥ 1MΩ

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 6.
No >Repair or replace harness.
