62-28 DIAGNOSIS-SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)

B1650, B1651, B1652, B1657,B1620 AND B1395 - SRS HAVING

IGNITION OR SRS MODULE INTERNAL FAULT

Symptom description:
SRS ECU internal fault or SRS has ignition, which cannot work properly.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check battery voltage

(a). Unplug battery positive and negative binding post.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
between the battery positive and negative
electrode.

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter

Battery positive
electrode - negative Approx 12V
electrode
Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 2.
No >Replace or charge the battery.

2. DTC Test

(a). Turn off the ignition switch and all the
electrical appliances and connect the
vehicle diagnostic device to the diagnose
interface.
(b). With the ignition switch: "ON", read and
clear the DTC with the vehicle diagnostic
device.
(c). Turn off the ignition switch and all the
electrical appliances and after 3~5 seconds
reset the ignition switch on the "ON" gear.
(d). Read the DTC with the vehicle diagnostic
device again.
