12C-40 ENGINE MECHANICAL SYSTEM - CYLINDER BLOCK SYSTEM

(r). Install the power pump bracket and the
power pump bracket fixing bolt (arrow
direction), and tighten the bolt with the
torque of 25±2 N•m (for the longitudinal
engine).

(s). Install the turbocharger subassembly.
(t). Install the intake manifold subassembly.
(u). Install the oil pan upper body and Install the engine oil pump unit.
(v). Install the oil pan weldment (for both longitudinal engine and horizontal engine).
(w). Install the crankshaft rear oil seal unit (for both longitudinal engine and horizontal
engine).
(x). Install the thermostat housing subassembly & water pump unit.
(y). Install the flywheel housing.
(z). Install the rear covering plate (for the horizontal engine).
16. Remove the piston subassembly
(a). Remove the cylinder head.
(b). Remove the oil pan weldment (for the longitudinal engine).
(c). Remove the oil pan weldment (for the horizontal engine).
(d). Remove the engine oil pump unit.
(e). Remove the oil pan upper body.

(f). Remove the piston subassembly.
PROMPT:
Turn the crankshaft to the bottom dead center of
the 1st cylinder and 4th cylinder.
•Remove these 8 connecting rod fixing

bolts (arrow direction) and the connecting
rod bearing cap.
