• Remove these 2 cylinder head water
outlet connector subassembly fixing bolts
(arrow direction) and the cylinder head
water outlet connector subassembly.

14. Check the cylinder head water outlet
connector (for the longitudinal engine)
(a). Check the O-shaped ring.
• Check the O-shaped ring for wear and
fuwx12C291 breakage; if any, immediately replace it.

(b). Check the cylinder head water outlet connector subassembly. 12C
• Check the cylinder head water outlet connector subassembly for scratches,
breakage or knock marks; if any, immediately replace it.

15. Install the cylinder head water outlet
connector subassembly ( for the
longitudinal engine
(a). Install the cylinder head water outlet
connector 2 subassembly, and pre-tighten
1 the cylinder head water outlet connector
subassembly fixing bolt.
2 (b). Tighten the cylinder head water outlet
connector fixing bolt with the torque of
9±1.4 N•m in the sequence as shown in
fuwx12C292
the figure.
PROMPT:
Apply glycerol onto the cylinder head water outlet
connector.

(c). Install the hose clamp (arrow direction)
onto the upper small coolant pipe hose.
PROMPT:
• If the hose clamp is rusted or damaged, replace
it.
• Note that the hose clamp shall be fixed at 2 ~ 3
mm from the pipe nozzle.

16. Remove the cylinder head water outlet subassembly (for the horizontal engine)

After the cylinder head water outlet connector is removed, use the plastic bag to wrap
