(a). Remove these 2 cylinder head water outlet
connector subassembly fixing bolts (arrow
direction) , and remove the engine rear end
wiring harness bracket ① and the cylinder

17. Check the cylinder head water outlet connector subassembly (for the horizontal
engine)
(a). Check the O-shaped ring.
• Check the O-shaped ring for wear and breakage; if any, immediately replace it.
(b). Check the cylinder head water outlet connector subassembly.
•Check the cylinder head water outlet connector subassembly for scratches,
breakage or knock marks; if any, immediately replace it.
18. Install the cylinder head water outlet
connector subassembly (for the horizontal
engine)
(a). Install the engine rear end wiring harness
bracket and the cylinder head water outlet
1 connector simultaneously, and pre-tighten
the cylinder head water outlet connector
2
subassembly fixing bolt.
(b). Tighten the cylinder head water outlet
fuwx12C295 connector subassembly fixing bolt with the
torque of 9±1.4 N•m in the sequence as
shown in the figure.
PROMPT:
Apply glycerol onto the cylinder head water
outlet connector.
19. Remove the water pump unit
(a). Remove the front coolant pipe subassembly (for the longitudinal engine) .
(b). Remove the front coolant pipe subassembly (for the horizontal engine).
