WORKPLACE WISDOM:

                                          WATCH YOUR WITNESS

         Is this you?

                It’s morning, already?! You finally roll out of bed after hitting
                snooze one too many times. You shower and dress. You wrangle
                kids, pets, and spouse; perhaps all of the above. On the go break-
                fast  bars. Your morning  run through:  lunch, check;  keys,  check;
                briefcase, check; kids, check; homework, check; you are forgetting
                something… “Hurry up, we got to go!” “TRAFFIC, argh!” You
                pray, “God, get me through this day...”

         Or is this you?

                                                It’s “Good” morning! You spring out of bed and do a 15 min
                                                workout (pick your discipline) and shower. You wrangle kids,
                                                pets, and spouse, perhaps all of the above. Breakfast. Your
                                                morning roll call: Lunch, check; keys, check; briefcase, check;
                                                kids, check; homework, check. “Time to head out, everyone
                                                set? Let’s go.” You pray, “God, lead me by your spirit today.”

         Excuse the exaggerations or the generalizations; but I believe we all can find a portion of our mornings in one
         of these examples. We are have had good starts or not so good starts of the day. And how you start the day
         greatly influences your interaction with people through out your workday. We have to keep watch on our ac-
         tions and reactions because they do flow from the issues of our heart. As Christians, we are being watched at all
         times. Here are a couple of wisdom keys I have learned from experience and now are skilled in. I keep memo-
         rials of my learning, misses, and victories; so I will never forget how the Lord redeemed and promoted me.

         Wisdom Key #1: Remember Who You Represent.

         Whether you are in full-time ministry, working private or public sector; a student, stay at home parent/spouse,
         whatever the occupation; we all encounter people in our everyday lives. And how we approach that encounter
         speaks volumes of your character and who you represent. My parents etched this principle in my brain – wher-
         ever you go, whatever you do; you represent our family. That principle was taken from the Word of God. John
         1: 12 speaks about as we have received Christ, he gave us power to become the sons of God. That power beings
