3.0 Distribution of Weightage
The distribution of performance assessment score weightage for
academic staff is as follows:
• Pointer System which carries 85% of the assessment from
the research, services, teaching and supervision and clinical
components
• P.O.I.S.E Core Values which represent 5% evaluated by
Assessor Officers and 10% by stakeholders
For executive and operational staff, P.O.I.S.E Core Values make up
100%. The assessment weightage is divided into two (2) categories:
• Yearly Work Target (henceforth SKT) with 40% embedded
in P.O.I.S.E items and evaluated by First Assessor Officer
(henceforth PPP) and Second Assessor Officer (PPK)
• P.O.I.S.E Core Values with 60% to be evaluated by various
stakeholders
NTP-based performance assessment is crucial in producing UM
staff who are excellent not only in discharging duties but also in
30 possessing admirable personalities or attitudes. An outstanding
personality and a positive attitude will enable staff to deliver efficient
customer-oriented services and at the same time enhance UM’s
reputation internationally. When UM is ranked at the international
level, the need for quality human resource and first-class mentality
will be met in line with UM’s position in the list of top 100 universities
in the world.
