Chazal is appropriate (Gemara Avodah Zara 10b) that man can
               acquire his eternity (in Olam Haba) in just one moment. לֶשׁ קֶסֵע וֹא .םיִתֵמַּה תַיִּחְתִל רָעְנִנ וֹרָפֲע ןיֵאְדּ ,).'ה הָטוֹסְבּ(

               Based on these words of Chazal, one can explain the meaning וֹניֵאְדּ ,הֶז לַע )ה"עש זֶמרֶ לאקְֵזֶחְי טוּקְלַי( ל"ַזֲח וּרְמָאְדּ ,תיִבּרִ
               of the pausk (Mishle 10:8) “A wise heart will take mitzvot and רַמאֹי יִמ ,אקְָסִע רֵתֶּה הָשָׂע םִא וּלִּפֲאַו .הָיִּחְתַּבּ דֵמוֹע
the lips of a fool will tire, etc.” Based on what Chazal have said,
that man is judged in the context of a majority of his deeds, one .ןיִדַּכּ הָשֲׂעַנֶּשׁ
who is wise will strengthen himself while he still has the time
(while he is still alive) to accrue as many mitzvot as possible
because truthfully man does not know (can never know) the
(Heavenly) accounting of where he stands, in order that his good
actions will exceed his evil ones and he will tilt the scales (of his
life) to the side of merit. In particular, one must thinks deeply
about the subject of one’s own speech, of the many hundreds of
words he speaks each day, about which Chazal have said that
each and every conversation will be repeated to him a the time
of his Judgment. Therefore, at the very least, one must increase
the number of words of sanctity that he speaks in order that a
majority of his words will conform to Hashem’s wishes.
All of this is addressed to anyone who has intelligence. But those
who are fools give no thought at all to this subject. When he
earns a bit of merit for some mitzvot he performed he becomes
satisfied and thinks to himself “Why should I work at this task to
add additional mitzvot? I have enough of them and have no need
to increase their number since every day I already put on Tzitzit
and Tefilin etc.” This person gives no thought to the fact that

               38. Referring to the Midrash, that when Hashem created the universe
everything continued to multiply until He commanded it to “stop.”
