challenges. Students are facing increasing academic pressure, social pressure, and

This study uses an intervention group pre- and post-test and a control group as a
quasi-experimental design. For statistical studies, pair t-test and independent t-test are
used. Hong Kong college students are defined as those studying full-time in bachelor's
OBJECTIVES degree programs at local universities or colleges. The age range is 18 to 25 years old.
The number of samples in each group is 10 persons. Recruitment is conducted via email
There are two objectives for this study. and social media promotions. Participants will be excluded if they have hypertension
The first aim is to provide a new method or mental illness and need to take medication. Participants will fill out a Depression

the risk of mental illnesses among reduced appetite and changes in sleep) in the result some questions will be asked.
The results of the research will be determined based on the scores on the DASS-21
college students. questionnaire. Participants will be given questionnaires to fill out in the one, second,

and eight weeks of the workshop. After the questionnaire, blood pressure and heartbeat
will be measured before and after the Pastel Nagomi art lesson.

                                              FINDINGS
For the comparison of intervention group, DASS-21 scores show significant differences (p
< 0.05). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test is used. It shows that the sample group's negative
emotions improved significantly after the Pastel Nagomi art workshop. For the comparison of
the control group, DASS-21 scores show no significant differences (p > 0.05). No significant
difference in negative emotions among the control group.
