By honing in on the needs of the clients and the motivations of the candidates, our consultants
are able to identify potential obstacles in the hiring process. Not only does this allow them to
filter out impossibilities before they are encountered but it enables them to navigate potential
client sensitivities, including conflicts of interest and potential relationship conflicts.
MANAGING COMP EXPECTATIONS
Through a careful process of due diligence, our consultants are able to feel confident about the
numbers presented on a candidate’s comp history. We are then able to assist in negotiating the
appropriate salary, helping to bring the expectations of the hiring manager and candidate
together. Furthermore, we know where we can push the envelope on corporate title, ancillary
benefits and bonus (whether formerly communicated in contract or handshake).
COMPLETION
The final stages of a search process can prove to be the most challenging. Shadowhound
consultants are experienced in closing search mandates ensuring that once an offer is made, the
candidate accepts and is not deterred from doing so for any reason. We guide them through
every step of the resignation process, allowing us to identify and mitigate against the risks of a
counter-offer.

conform to their internal procedures but also that they are involved at every stage. We want to
