from the Participants has been obtained, including the research
objective and the nature of observations. Researchers must also
observe the privacy and confidentiality of certain information and thus
must only report findings that are related to the research objective. In
the context of field notes, researchers should be cautious not to
disclose identifiable information that could compromise the
anonymity of the participants. Pseudonyms or codes may be used to
protect their identities.
FINDINGS
What are the issues among women womenpreneurs?
Based on the field notes, researchers’ observations, and informal
interviews, a few emergent themes are discussed in detail in the next
section.
1) Financial issues
The challenges faced by womenpreneurs in the B40 community are
intricately interlinked, forming a complex web of financial constraints
that cascade from one issue to another. At the heart of these challenges
lies a fundamental financial dilemma that permeates various aspects of
their lives.
Firstly, being part of the B40 community, these women find
themselves in a position where they bear the primary responsibility of
caring for their children from birth until at least 4 or 5 years old. This
pivotal period demands considerable time and attention, presenting a
unique set of challenges for women who aspire to participate in
economic activities.
One major hurdle arises when considering the option of sending their
children to a nursery. While it may seem like a viable solution to enable
