LITERATURE REVIEW AND HYPOTHESES
DEVELOPMENT
The various definitions of property offered by specialists in the field
of law are the result of the status of the property itself, which is very
limited and exists only in physical form, as well as its benefits and rights
of ownership (Lubis, 2020). Madhhab Hanafi has two stances on the
benefits of property, the first of which is of the opinion that property
is permanent and consists of physical forms and sees the benefits from
different angle of perspectives (Che Mohd Amin & Muda, 2019).

Knowledge
Alifiandy et al. (2020), who conducted a study at the Center for Social
Fund Management Universitas Airlangga (PUSPAS) has found that
knowledge has a significant influence on the availability of cash waqf.
There are also many respondents who have knowledge that contains
the concept of cash waqf to further encourage the desire of the people
to continue to contribute consistently. A study by Ismail dan Maryanti
(2022) finding that there are two basic types of knowledge which are
the source of information obtained and knowledge usually refers to
awareness, habitual practice and understanding of things.
H1: There is a positive relationship between knowledge and cash waqf
giving behaviour among polytechnic lecturers in Malaysia.

Religious Obedience
According to Islamic doctrine, the concept of giving waqf will have an
impact on individuals to deepen Islam. Everyone is commanded to do
charity by maintaining a relationship with Allah SWT and fellow
human beings (Shukor et al., 2017). According to (Ramadhan et al.
2019) Muslims who are deeply professed and adhere to the teachings
of Islam will become more God-fearing and always have a high desire
to contribute in waqf. Islam strikes a balance between one's life in this
world and the Hereafter.
