Power VADs
VAD Variant
PICC Power PICC lines are "power injectable" access device lines and have
a maximum flow rate printed on the catheter lumen or hub itself.
Power PICC Solo catheters do not require Heparin flushing
Mediport PowerPorts offer the unique ability to provide access for power‐
injected Contrast‐Enhanced Computer Tomography (CECT) scans.
Power‐injected CECT scans produce superior images of the body to
help the medical team better manage patient care.
PowerPorts are inserted for long term use, Chest X‐ray will be required
even post discharge
Midline PowerLine: Also considered as power injectable catheters with a
Maximum flow rate of 5 ml/sec
Tunneled Catheter APICC can be used like a tunneled catheter
