Documentation of Visit Treatment Time
Best Practice Tip:
Select “Start Visit” once you enter the patient’s home. Obtain
patient’s signature and/or save visit as “Complete” or
“Incomplete” prior to leaving their home.
Why is accurate treatment time documentation important?
The amount of time spent on a home care visits is a regulatory
and billing requirement.
CMS billing standards state that each visit must have a service
