Wild Boars FC, called Moo Pa in
Thai, was established in 2015 as a
small, regional club to play in local
tournaments. It has squads for
under-13s, under-16s and under-19s.
The majority of the players are
from poor and ethnic minorities
backgrounds and come from an
area that extends across Thailand,
Myanmar, Laos and China. At the
time of the cave rescue, members of
all the squads were trapped in the
cave, so the whole club was unable
to compete in matches.
Tham Luang Nang Non (the Great
Cave of the Sleeping Lady) is a cave
system in the north of Thailand. It lies
under the Doi Nang Non mountain
range, on the border with Myanmar.

and their coach stood in front of the entrance to the Tham Luang cave in
