2020 Bank On Washington Forum Speakers

Becky House, American Financial Solutions (AFS)

Becky House is the Education and Communication Director at
AFS. She also serves on the Board of the Financial Empowerment
Network. Becky has over 24 years of experience in training and
education development in nonprofit organizations.

Over the last 13 years, Becky has specialized in developing and
presenting financial education. She is certified as a financial
educator through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and
holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Psychology.
She presents classes for community agencies, private employers,
local community colleges, and universities such as the University of
Washington Law School and the University of Puget Sound. She is
an expert advisor for media outlets such as U.S. News and World
Report and ABC, CBS, and Money Magazine (Time).

John Kim, Pacific Hospital PDA

John Kim is the Executive Director of Pacific Hospital
Preservation & Development Authority and the President of the
Board of Directors of the Financial Empowerment Network. His
prior two leadership positions were as the Executive Director of
Seattle Jobs Initiative and Chief Operating Office at Northwest
Regional Primary Care Association. Born and raised in
Pennsylvania, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth
College and law degree from New York University School of
Law.

A resident of the metropolitan Seattle since 1997, John has served
on a variety of boards including those of: Community Center for
Education Results, Financial Empowerment Network, Seattle Jobs
Initiative, Dale Turner Family YMCA, Shoreline Breakfast Rotary,
and Northwest Community Health Education and Simulation
Center.
