6.3.6 Lights to be shown
The aircraft's lights are described in BL 7-1
4.2.3.1 During the period between sunset and sunrise, aircraft in flight must
display:
a. anti-collision lights for the purpose of drawing attention to the aircraft
b. navigation lights for the purpose of indicating the aircraft's relative flight
path to an observer.
Other lights must not be displayed if they could be confused with the navigation
lights.
When flying VFR by day, anti-collision lights must be used if fitted and
operational.
The image here shows how
navigation lights are
interpreted at night.
If an aircraft is approaching
from left to right, you will see
a green and a white light.
