Operational procedures

6.4.1.1 Opening hours and service hours

The starting point could be a flight to Viborg Flyveplads EKVB.

                Go to https://aim.naviair.dk/

Type ekvb (Viborg Airfield) in the search field.

Open the document with “Text” at the back.

Points 1 and 2: the location of the airfield.

Point 3: the airfield is approved for Visual

                Meteorological Conditions, meaning that

the weather must be suitable for VFR

flights in order to use the airfield.

The airfield may also be used for VFR

                night flights.

Point 4: Service hours (can be difficult to

                interpret).

There are a number of abbreviations:

AD = Aerodrome - in Danish: flyvepladsen

ADO = Aerodrome Office - in Danish: lufthavnskontoret

ARO = Aerodrome Reporting Office, the reporting office. This is where we can

report our arrival or go in and report that we intend to fly from the airfield. If

the office is not open, there is self-service.

On EKVB there are telephone numbers that you can use if you want to submit

                or complete a flight plan.
