Marcus’ Overview Welcome to the first Newsbites of 2019! The last two months have flown by and I genuinely can’t believe we are already in March. Spring season is the most important time for a business to grow. It’s a time to celebrate, to reflect and it’s also a time for new beginnings. Members of the SHS GB leadership team were recently at Elaine’s SHS Group conference and it was fantastic for SHS GB to be singled out for recognition in two areas at a Group level. Firstly, operational excellence was acknowledged. Major progress was made on stock reduction in 2018. In addition, a significant reduction in SKUs and the achievement of all debt KPIs at company level, made a huge difference to the Company’s working capital. Secondly, we were commended in the Category Growth pillar for outstanding performance in our workings with Standard Brands. From a sales and operational perspective, the team achieved an impressive year-on-year growth of over 40%! 2 1
