accountable”? The evangelist answered, “I don’t belong to
any local church or submit to any Pastor. I belong to the
whole body of Christ – the invisible Church!” Dr Wiersbe
replied, “ Really? That’s too bad. Here! Let me give you
some invisible money to support your work! “
In the New Testament church every believer is compared
to a living stone that the Lord is using to build His spiritual
house –
”you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual
house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices
acceptable to God through Jesus Christ”(1 Peter 2:5).

When we see any beautiful building, we notice that the
stones are carefully placed one over the other and exactly in
the manner in which the architect wanted them to be. This
is like the body of Christ where every member is placed
wherever God desires for them to be placed –
“But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in
the body, just as He desired” (1 Corinthian 12:18).
Thus every “living stone” is surrounded by other “living
stones” (who are placed above, below and at the side
of them) who are there as a spiritual covering for their
encouragement and protection.
