house. Compared to the weekday action our action on Sunday at-
tracted more people, because those struggling for justice on the
one hand were looking to their families, on the other workers who
had had to work on other days were with us. These workers were
with us in the Sunday action.

We had lawyers and DIH friends with us as we entered the
district where the bosses’ house is. When we got there we found
the police were waiting for us.

Instead of arresting a thief who had taken away the rights of
workers and was not paying tax or SSK, the state showed that it
was going to protect him from workers seeking their rights who
paid their taxes and were seeking their wages. We had come to the

address we had but we found the bosses had moved from there.
We explained our situation to the people in the neighbourhood
and said that wherever the boss had fled we would find him, in
the press statement we read out ending the action.

While we were carrying out the action we learned of more
equipment being removed from the factory. We had news that
even after a Saturday protest in Taksim, a large lorry had come to
the factory and removed equipment from it. We got to the factory

but we were too late. We decided that in future we would have to
take precautions against this.

After a suggestion from DIH we decided to set up a tent in
front of the factory. Some workers supported this, some were
against.

In the meantime, we found the other house of the boss.
Again we went to the house in Tarabya that we had tracked down
