The workers once again carried out a sit-down action for half
an hour and said they would continue their struggle until they got
their rights. They ended their action with slogans, while neither
the representatives of the holding nor Gaye Somuncu made a
sound.

Kazova Workers Hold Iftar In Front Of The Factory
Building

On 13 July 2013 the Kazova Trikotaj workers gave an iftar
meal in front of the factory where they are resisting. (Translator’s
note: iftar is a meal to break the Ramadan fast after sunset.) To-

gether with the resisting workers, the DIH and the leadership of
the CHP in Sisli district also took part in the iftar. The Kazova
workers, who had been on hunger strike for 15 days and occupying
the factory, and had been continuing resistance for 75 days, eval-
uated the resistance, alongside their guests. And they took the de-
cision to visit the Darphane (Mint) workers and the Turkish
Airlines workers who were on strike.

Kazova Trikotaj Workers Increase Their Support

Solidarity visits and support for the workers occupying their
factory where they worked and are on hunger strike are continuing
to increase.

On13 July the CHP SISLI district leadership came to visit the
Kazova workers’ tent. And they joined in the iftar of the Kazova

workers. They announced that they were on the side of the resist-
ance and supported it.
