The same day at half past three the Kazova textile workers
went in front of Calik Holding where Gaye Somuncu is part of
the management and they read out a press statement declaring
that the Somuncu family would not take their rights away and vic-

tory would go to those workers who resist. Later they began a sit-
down action, chanting the slogan “We will not allow Gaye
Somuncu to take away our rights! We will win by resisting! Victory
will go to the workers who resist!” They finished the action by
declaring that they would resume it next week same time, same
place.

Support From Mersin For The Kazova Workers

At 12 noon on 26 July 2013, in front of the Mersin stone
building, a press statement about the Kazova workers was read out.
The Mersin Buyuksehir municipality park garden workers partic-
ipated in order to support the Kazova workers. They opened ban-
ners with the inscription “The Kazova workers are not alone!” and
“We are workers, we are tight, we will win!” They also shouted the
slogans “We will win by resisting, the Kazova workers are not

alone, victory will go to the workers who resist, we are workers, we
are right we will win!” Twenty-one people participated.
