Sultangazi Rights Association Visits The Kazova Workers

The Sultangazi Right Association workers and members vis-
ited the Kazova workers’ resistance tents and announced their sup-
port. They greeted the meaningful resistance of the Kazova
workers and said they would always be on the side of resistance.

We Will Not Allow Gaye Somuncu To Take Away Our

Rights

ON 24 July the Kazova textile workers again gathered in front
of Sisli mosque. This week the Istanbul Asistan Solidarity and the
Tatavla Solidarity gave support to the action, forming a cortege
behind the banner with the inscription “WE WILL NOT
ALLOW THE KAZOVA BOSSES UMIT SOMUNCU AND
UMUT SOMUNCU TO TAKE AWAY OUR RIGHTS!” and

they marched to the front of the Kazova factory chanting the slo-
gans “We will not allow Umit Somuncu to take away our rights!
We are workers, we are right, we will win! We will win by resisting!
Victory will go to the workers who resist!” Bulent Unal spoke in
the name of the Kazova workers: “For months we have resisted for
four months’ worth of wages, seniority and notice, and by resisting
we will win,” he said. Representatives of Istanbul University Asis-
stants and Tatavla Solidarity made speeches and stressed that they

would support the Kazova workers to the end. Afterwards songs
