We care about the safety of our Guests and Team Members, and it’s the responsibility of Management to be
mindful of emergencies that could happen in your store. As a leader of our business it’s imperative you are
providing a safe environment by following the preventative guidelines available in your store and in your
training manuals, as well as a select few that are included in the “Prevention and Response” section of this
Crisis and Emergency Management Guide.
The purpose of the “Prevention and Response” section is to help Management identify and assess the risks to
the health and safety of Guests and Team Members in your store and, if necessary, eliminate or reduce these
risks to an acceptable level. Once again, the Crisis and Emergency Management Guide is a “Guide” and is
meant to provide you with direction, not a prescriptive method that would be included in a manual.
In the event of an emergency situation, the Crisis Team and/or your ROD/ROM will provide specific direction on
next steps.
IMPORTANT: As we mentioned in the introduction of this Guide, all Managers should become familiar with
these scenarios since referring to a Guide in the middle of a situation is not realistic.
